A true underdog anime.

Main characters are mostly the same in animes like this. You have the plain high-school underachiever with no confidence and no worthwhile skills, finally becoming a someone. This anime is no different. What makes it unique however is that, while in other anime this character really doesn't seem to be depicted all that different from anyone else, the main character here is truly low on the social totem pole. He's short, fat, not good at sports and has a virtual reality avatar to match. That being a pig character.
Great battle system, good music and equally great animation lend itself to a compelling storyline that leaves you wanting more.
