this when i first saw this anime i was wondering if it was great or something because of the art style.
being a child and all, the graphics were strong and heavy. so i could only be pre-judice about this all because of the art style.
the story was deep and hard to take it.
commonly the heaver the style and detail it would strain the eyes and mind trying to watch. and less interesting.
gladly in less than no just watching the op of the series i immediately got hooked. that having low expectation and proven wrong.
like "gankutsuou" the style was comparable. and yes i do find the fact both story's were fantastic. and well wraped in respect of the authors and the story know to the masses.
seems i missing out the main discussion.
this series intrudes in the reality of the old world and how the motive and meaning are sent directly to people watching.
as our emotion's if greatly agitated and our ego's not control can be the following scenes in the anime.
were we must value the action and thought's we have, without any bias influence.
if you like this series then the spin-off "mononoke" is a much watch it's rare to see story's like this i suggest you watch this.
just a small spoiler for all im talking about "the last 3 eps" for this series.
and try to check out the hidden meaning of the other ark storys.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
