Tanaka Yukio, better known by his nickname Koyuki is a 14 year old who feels disconnected from life in general. Through the act of saving a mismatched dog, he meets guitarist Minami Ryuusuke, and becomes involved in Ryuusuke's new band BECK. Koyuki's life starts to change as the band struggles towards fame. |

this anime is completely based off of a band trying to make it big in the music industry. it deals with mornal human lives with regular kids attempting to get by in the adult world. it has romance, adventure, great music, great animation, an average normal story, comedy, and suspense. the characters are easy to relate to and understand. they could even remind you of one of your closet friends or someone you know. the personality of each character is that believable. if you're looking for a simple anime about some people trying to start a band in a normal world with normal lives then this is the anime for you. all and all i did like it though i prefer an anime that has supernatural events, characters, situations, etc. and well i guess the generic idea of anime. the only reason i watched this is because a friend of mine whose trying to start a band of his own forced me too. it is worth the watch. enjoy.
