I had high hopes for "Baka to Test to Shoukanju Ni!" and at first I was a bit let down. The first two episodes were only a bit of fan service. Luckily, everything got better from there.

The plot in this second season wasn't as strong. It seemed like they pretty much did everything they could do in the first series. Still, most of the show had a pretty decent story. Some background stories were revealed and some characters even developed a bit.
The summoning system wasn't used as much as it was last time. It wouldn't have made a lot of difference if they threw it out all together but it added some funny moments.

The conversations were as hilarious as I remembered them. Though there weren't much additions to the crew, the same type of comedy pairings remained just as funny.

No remarks on the art quality but sometimes I was a bit annoyed by the near echi focus on the girls.

If it weren't for the filler like first and last two episodes "Baka to Test to Shoukanju Ni!" might have been as good as the second season could be. "Baka to Test to Shoukanju" is one of my comedy favourites and the second season managed to make me laugh a lot as well.
If you liked the first season, you'll probably like this too.
