This anime is an gorgeous animation-gem. Its approach is very modern, and conveys a story from a very choppy yet attractive perspective. Even if the individual episodes' stories are not that interesting, they are presented in such a way that creates enjoyable entreatment.
It seems to jump on the pop-vampire concept early on. However, it takes a more specifically asian approach, which sets it apart from the other trash out there. Also, it clearly develops into something else entirely, and as the series progresses, we get to glimpse a greater and broader plot; which is more original and engaging than most other animes out there.
Like most other asian shows, the dialogue screams 'stereotypical asian lingo'. However, sometimes, those moments of silence are strategically placed and add more significance to the particular part. Sometimes, silence is golden. Because it touches lightly on some deep issues, the dialogue can become slightly more impressive at times.
Overall, this is a 5/5 for me. It ranks pretty high on my list. Not something I would be motivated to watch, but when I do, I am never disappointed. I recommend it. Really. I do.
