Summary: The story takes place in the year 1614. Two ninja clans, Tsubagakure of the Iga and Manjidani of Kouga, battle each other to determine which grandson of Tokugawa Ieyasu will become the next shogun. The deadly competition between 10 elite ninja from each clan unleashes a centuries-old hatred that threatens to destroy all hope for peace between them.

i will highly recommend this anime for those who loves action anime like ninja scroll and such. the story is well thought off. but what makes this anime worth its time is all the unique action sequences. since every fighter has his \ here fighting style. the animation is well drawn, and its been payed a lot of time in to the details. it is almost only one word fitting for the animation.. Excellent. ive started over this anime now for the 3rd time and still am amazed over being able to find detail that i missed the other 2 times ive watched this anime. the dialogue is a bit thin, since the anime concentrates more one the fighting sequences and the storyline. so if u have the time to spare, will i recommend this anime.. just remember to change the audio track if u use the subs from REX.
