| Summary: |
Kurosaki Ichigo is a 15 year old boy that has an ability to see ghosts/spirits. Because of his ability, he is able to meet a female death god (a.k.a Shinigami) named Kuchiki Rukia. To save his family and friends from unwanted soul-eating spirits (Hollows), Rukia transfers her Shinigami powers to Ichigo. As Rukia takes on a human shell, together they solve mysteries involving spirits and hollows until from the spirit world comes 2 other shinigamis explaining that it is illegal to transfer Shinigami powers to humans and Rukia exceeded the time limit to stay in the human world. After they sentence her death for breaking the laws, Ichigo snaps and swears to everyone he will retrieve Rukia by breaking into the spirit world. |

I find that Bleach has many plots: saving Rukia, eliminating Bountou, ect. Of all plots, the first plot is the best but some of it I find it a little tad of boring (though as a Bleach fan, I don't really mind much). I always find myself wanting to see how much Ichigo progressed and I totally love the angle of the anime taken every time the main character fights. The animation is really, really beautiful. I love how great the other characters are portrayed too; Grimjoww, Byakuya, Zaraki, Ikkaku, Renji, Hisagi,... . I totally love those characters and their unique personalities. The best part of the anime is how the plots can make the viewer feels the tension and crave to see something more like, Ichigo fighting or when will Ichigo knows about his father's secret and many more. I don't usually watch anime more than 24 episodes (and it must be completed!), but this is the second anime that I don't mind watching all the way to the latest (plus, it has almost 300 episodes!).
This is one must-watch anime.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
