| Summary: |
Kurosaki Ichigo is a 15 year old boy that has an ability to see ghosts/spirits. Because of his ability, he is able to meet a female death god (a.k.a Shinigami) named Kuchiki Rukia. To save his family and friends from unwanted soul-eating spirits (Hollows), Rukia transfers her Shinigami powers to Ichigo. As Rukia takes on a human shell, together they solve mysteries involving spirits and hollows until from the spirit world comes 2 other shinigamis explaining that it is illegal to transfer Shinigami powers to humans and Rukia exceeded the time limit to stay in the human world. After they sentence her death for breaking the laws, Ichigo snaps and swears to everyone he will retrieve Rukia by breaking into the spirit world. |

I consider Bleach to be epic. This is an awesome action/fantasy anime. The music is great, the fight scenes are great. I love how mature Ichigo (the protagonist) is for his age. You get to see a great amount of different characters who are all awesome in their own way. The 1st arc, def. one of the best. The other arcs, relevant to the manga are also really great, you won't be disappointed. Arrancar Arc is so amazing, you will see one of the most badass villains in all anime. I love all the Espada as well. I didn't really like the Fullbring Arc that much, hard to follow up after Aizen/Arrancar, but nonetheless, was still good to watch. Overall, this anime has awesome action/fight scenes and a great range of characters. 5/5 def. recommend this.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
