| Summary: |
Kurosaki Ichigo is a 15 year old boy that has an ability to see ghosts/spirits. Because of his ability, he is able to meet a female death god (a.k.a Shinigami) named Kuchiki Rukia. To save his family and friends from unwanted soul-eating spirits (Hollows), Rukia transfers her Shinigami powers to Ichigo. As Rukia takes on a human shell, together they solve mysteries involving spirits and hollows until from the spirit world comes 2 other shinigamis explaining that it is illegal to transfer Shinigami powers to humans and Rukia exceeded the time limit to stay in the human world. After they sentence her death for breaking the laws, Ichigo snaps and swears to everyone he will retrieve Rukia by breaking into the spirit world. |

it starts off as a great anime but after 250+ episodes they seem to have lost the concept of a proper story. The last 20 episodes it has been the same old story time and time again.
Strong guy appears, usually talks a lot, >- Ichigo will now moan about friendship and will attack -> Ichigo will get his ass kicked, followed by more talkings >- Ichigo now goes mad and taps his true powers and kicks the enemies ass, regardless if the same guy beated him without any effort before
This sums it up, add in that of the 20 min a episode takes about 5+ are about the intro-outro and you have yourself a very slow story, the fights look amazing but after 200 episodes or more you will get plain bored of the repetiveness this shows offers
Good story till they leave soul society, followed by fillers, poor story, and even at times where they randomly quit one story for 50 episodes and change for a new one, only to get back and expect everyone to know wtf is going on. the Dialogue is more of the same.
Bother with it, but quit between 200-250 if you want to leave this anime with good memories.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
