Disappointing

It's a spin-off for Naruto manga and this is as a Naruto fan that I evaluate this Anime (even if I'm not ok with some narrative choices in Naruto ^^).

As an old-fashioned manga, Boruto lacks creativity regarding character designs. New generation shinobis are actually the exact copy of their parents (not only visually but also mentally). Yes, it's about inheritance but this is too much similar.

I don't really like the manga story but it is nevertheless interesting (and I want to know more about it). Unfortunately, the Anime is so slow to cover the manga story that it seems full of useless scenes. Frankly, Boruto Anime is just an oversized extra story (and people really HATED extra stories in Naruto).

As a last negative point (and very personal, I admit), the Anime is too much focused on the "power of friendship", which is absolutely ridiculous. It shall be more about strategy, tricks and techniques (not about useless and uninteresting characters who win just because they are friends...). Sorry about this last point but I generally expect more maturity about stories.

At least, the only positive point would be the animation itself which is not bad at all (sometimes, it's even very good). I could also mention the occasional appearance of Naruto's characters (which makes me feel curious and nostalgic) but it is happening far too many times to be a positive point... So, as the title I've chosen, this Anime is "disappointing".
