The story centers around Ryūta Sakamoto, a NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training) young man and a top-ranked player in the online combat game Btoom! One day, he wakes up on a tropical island without remembering how he got there. He sees a figure in the distance and asks for help. However, the figure responds by throwing something at Ryūta — a "BIM" bomb. In that moment, Ryūta comes to realize two things: one, his own life is in danger, and two, he is now in the world of Btoom! |

For those that read mangas, this story has a blend of elements from both Sword Art Online and Cage of Eden. The characters are "saikou" (the best) and it may not look like it in the beginning but the plot and character will develop into one of the best animes ever. If you're looking for an action and romance anime then you're looking at one of the best here.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
