One night, Kazuki Muto jumps in to try to save what he thinks is a girl in distress from a monster and instead gets impaled through the heart. The girl, Tokiko, is actually an alchemic warrior with a Busou Renkin, name of Valkerie Skirt, with the mission to exterminate Homunculi. She implants the only other successful work of alchemy than the Homunculus, the Kakugane, to take the place of Kazuki's heart. The Kakugane resonates with his fighting spirit and forms a Busou Renkin (in his case a spear) so he can fight the Homunculus monsters who prey on humans. Kazuki joins with Tokiko to battle with the Homunculi and protect his friends and his sister Mahiro. |

Buso Renkin is another story for killing time while you guys are waiting for long story with endless episodes like Naruto. I was excited when I saw ads on TV that it was written and directed by the same guy who wrote Samurai X. It's the new adventure story but similar to those animations which their main characters and story's plot took places in high school. This story is short (only 26 episodes.) so it didn't take long time to watch. I enjoy watching this Buso Renkin on Animax channel while waiting for next episodes of Naruto, Gintama, and Bleach, etc. on this web.
Not boring but you can guess the end of the story. It's not complexed or twisted like Naruto though. Enjoy!!

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
