Summary: Cardfight!! Vanguard is Japan's latest TCG card game. Which it brings both mangaka authors together to develop this unique and interesting card game.

The game uses many similar elements from other card game animes such as Yu-Gi-Oh! (Draw 5 cards at beginning, draw 1 every turn, player that goes first can't attack). TCG games like these have been very successful in Japan and in many countries.

After so many anime based on TCGs, they finally made one that's a bit more realistic...as far as I can tell anyway. After 3 episodes, I'm happy I chose this one to watch. I like to watch slice of life anime and I like TCGs like Magic. So well, this totally fit the bill for me. You even sort of get to learn how to play the game. It makes me want to give the actual game a try.

So basically, if you have any interest in the actual card game, even if you have no idea of what it plays like, check out the first couple of episodes and you may just find it entertaining enough to keep going.
