As a big fan of many different anime's and manga, I find that there is always a list of best to worst for every catagory. I myself being a big fan of action and violence have seldom found the rare gems that I can sit down and enjoy to the fullest, Clannad and Clannad: After story were the best investment of time in an anime in years, The story is funny, and heart-wrenching, tear-jerking, dramatic, suspenseful. It has everything you will ever need in an anime. I am not someone who likes to admit crying at an anime but this one actually made me cry in the episode "The ends of the Earth" it has something that will touch everyones heart, and its not all upbeat and cheerful the entire time, it has some very climactic and sad turn of events. The story from the first series is followed up amazingly also, old friends become new friends, i would say more but I dont want to spoil it. Take the time, it's quite a few episodes but you will not be disappointed.
