A sequel to the recently wrapped anime based on the Key Clannad franchise. After Story is a path that opens in the original visual novel after all the other paths have been opened.
Life continues on for Tomoya. A few months have passed since he confessed his love to Nagisa. Now entering the second semester, he continues to meet a variety of different people, expanding his own world in the process. As well, Tomoya and Nagisa's relationship begins to enter a level of intimacy unlike before. Through his relationship with Nagisa, and his various encounters, Tomoya begins to understand the meaning and importance of family. Unfortunately, as Tomoya and Nagisa begin their own family together, they are faced with many hardships and challenges along the way. |

Compared to the first season, the second season has a totally different atmosphere and approach. There are some episodes that make you reminisce moments from the first season but about halfway through the series things take a MAJOR turn and BOY DO I MEAN MAJOR. OK in short, story was magnificent though there were a couple parts that you just have to accept even though personally I think they weren't that vital to the heart of the story. Music is pretty much the first season's soundtrack. Visuals, man I think the artists went overtime on some backgrounds and scenery this time, very great art. Nonetheless, I will guarantee any viewer to tear up or cry from watching this series. I tend to ONLY watch action animes with supernatural powers or with massive amounts of gore but After Story left me in tears like a crying baby. My only complaint is that everytime I listen to the anime's OP song, it makes me think of certain turning point scenes from the anime that makes me sad.
