i dunno why poeple are sayin that this isn't simular to death note. my opinion, each main character both think that each of their worlds is rotten, light despising a world of crimminals, and lulouch out for revenge against the holy britannia empire for the death of his mother. each of them when they obtain a supernatural power they both use their powers to shape the world and make their desires come true. and their both very smart, lulouch - an execelnt tactic/stradegy guy and light trying not to be exposed as kira. so yes i think the 2 are very simular. (spoiler alert) the ending of the second season wasn't the direction i hoped to have went. at first when he become emporer, i freaking out but then he started acting evil and became an enemy of the black knights, al his friends fought agaisnt him which was pretty sad. i would have atleast wanted karen and lulouch to team up instead of susaku but in the end he made him look like a hero so it was al worth it.
