Taniguchi, and written by Ichir? ?kouchi, with original character designs by manga authors Clamp. Set in an alternate future, the series focus on how the former prince Lelouch Lamperouge obtains a power known as Geass and decides to use it to destroy the Holy Britannian Empire, an imperial monarchy and a superpower that has been conquering various countries. |

This series contains the perfect blend of comedy, action, and drama. It combines excellent character development with an even better main story. Although the second season didn't really live up to the first, it managed to wrap things up nicely and provide a satisfying conclusion. There are alot of underlying themes on justice, power, and the concept of being 'right'. It includes advanced but still (mostly) realistic technology as well as being an excellent strategy and mental series. It has proven itself to be an excellent series, and has remained one of the mst popular ones around.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
