Yagami Light is an ace student with great prospects, who's bored out of his mind. My my my what to say about Death Note. Basically it is a thrilling, unique, utter piece of genius. This anime literally took my breath away. It left me reeling. The storyline is a-m-a-z-i-n-g as is the cast of characters. I personally found myself rooting for Light the entire time, I became so absorbed in it - it is just that good. The animation I guess could've been better, and there was a large amount of dialogue, but once you look past that you will begin to appreciate just how tremendous this anime is. It left me thoroughly entertained and the plot twists were damn awesome. Whilst I absolutely loved it, it won't be for everyone. Some will get bored and others will just find very 'meh'. But what can I say? You can't please them all. I'd recommend this to anyone with a decent attention span, because it is seriously worth the time.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
