The setting of Eureka Seven takes place 10,000 years after humanity has made a mass exodus into space, due to the arrival of the Scub Coral, an intelligent, sentient life who merged with the planet, forcing the humans to abandon it. In the current timeline, the remnants of humanity are now settled on an unknown planet (actually a terraformed Earth) known as the Land of Kanan, but the majority of the surface of this planet is now covered by a rock-like surface formed by the Scub Coral. |

Actually a good mecha anime !

At first you may think that this anime is nothing special but it is special ! All characters are really classic for some exeptions like Eureka herself... Dont whant to tell the story but it is interesting in one point and really unusual ! Heh i could bet that there was no analog to it in any other anime ! Still it is kinda confusing at times ! This anime is bloody , cant say it had any kind of humor that i liked to compensate the tragic parts .... but it makes this anime interesting ! Well to be make it shorter i will say that this anime is REALLY WORTH WATCHING !
1) Unique mecha airbord fight (the best part)
2) Bloody fights both versus monsters and other mecha
3) Really unique main characters ! (especialy eureka)
PS: WARNING DONT WATCH THE MOVIE (Eureka seven : Pocket full of rainbows ) DONT WATCH IT (just trust me) =^_^=

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
