Summary: Ban Mido and Ginji Amano are a recovery duo infamously known as "GetBackers." Ban possesses two special powers: the "Snake Bite" (his hands have a gripping power of 200kg) and the "Evil Eye" (anyone who looks into his eyes will be locked into a powerful and nightmarish hallucination). Ginji, on the other hand, has the ability to generate thousands of volts of electricity from his body. Together, they run a freelance business of recovering anything lost or stolen from a client - and they claim a 100% success rate at their job.

A much under-appreciated anime. I found this anime to be rather entertaining, and in between fight scenes that put some of the more popular animes to shame, there's a whole lot of laughs.

The manga, while I enjoyed it, had so many random fanservice moments that the series went down a peg or two in entertainment since it seemed to center more often than not on panty shots and various boob jiggles and close ups. The anime actually diminishes the focus from ecchi (odd in itself, since the anime versions of manga usually do the exact opposite) to a well balanced anime.

The GetBackers is an anime that most people might be able to relate to a bit better than the usual 'super powers' and action. Ban and Giniji are always bailing their car out of the impound and what money they get from their GetBackers job goes to paying tickets or their tab at the local bar/restaurant. The plot is fascinating, more so when you get to the end, and each episode steadily advances the plot while revealing a bit more about the main characters.

tl;dr - This ROCKED, watch it and you'll be hooked as well.
