It is a relatively dark story with pretty ominous themes. Gilgamesh concerns with a coming apocalypse brought on by the antagonists and our main characters, Kiyoko and Tatsuya, want just live in peace. However, many factions try to contact them and use them. The story really isn't a bad story. The only problem is that it progresses really slowly and most viewers lose patience. The other problem is that it often times becomes too predictable. I gave a 2 for animation because it's very inconsistent. Sometimes the animators spend a lot of time on one scene but, for the most part it seems poorly done. I am disappointed to see that sometimes the sound does not match with the animation. Too many delayed reactions. The fight scenes are not very interesting. The animators rely on basic CG to animate auras and attacks.

I don't recommend this anime to watch. If you do want to watch it, I suggest you skip to important dialogue sequences.
