I will say that if you do not like ecchi, Im not talking about panty flashing or underwear, more ecchi than Sekirei.
Highschool DxD is a great anime, the main character is a pervert, which I like because it adds believability to the characters in general. The main character gets killed and becomes a demon, his rank is that of a pawn in a would-be chess based hierarchy of power pieces. He has a unique power that of course the main character would have. The supporting characters are all extremely different and unique and Rias who is the "Master" is masterfully potrayed in the anime. If you like Ecchi, Fighting, lots of female characters, ecchi, comedy, harem, and some more ecchi then HighSchool DxD is for you

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
