A mysterious, lethal disease is on the loose worldwide, resulting in a catastrophic death rate of humanity, and the increasing rise of attacks, caused by the living dead.
In Japan, several high school students and a school nurse have banded together to escape Fujimi High School shortly after it was attacked by zombies. The group now attempts to figure who or what was responsible for this plague, and in the meantime, attempt to survive the present apocalypse.
The story is initially narrated through the eyes of Takashi Komuro, one of the students who had survived in the initial outbreak. |

I am a huge fan of zombie movies, and this anime is way better than any of the new/newer zombie movies out there. H.O.T.D perfectly captures the emotion and intensity that one feel during an end of the world thing. Having already read the manga I was a bit worried that they would change it and that it would not be High School Of The Dead but when i saw the first episode all my worries vanished, the anime is great, it stays true to the manga, it has everything you could want: girls,zombies,guns. It may be a bit ecchi but it works with this anime.
All in all i give this anime Excellent on : Story, Dialogue, Animation, and Entertainment.
Definitely a must watch anime, I highly recommend it to zombie lovers and any one who enjoys watching awesome anime.
