| Summary: |
The main character, Endou Mamoru, is a very talented goalkeeper and the grandson of one of the strongest goalkeepers in Japan, who died before he was born. Even though his skills are incredible his school lacks a real soccer club as the 6 other members don't appear very interested even in training. But as soon as a mysterious forward called Gouenji moves to Endou's town, the young goalkeeper sets out to find and recruit members for his soccer team. |

A different View of Soccer

This anime is one of the best I've seen. And It's not that I have 8 or 10 years like some people say. This anime isn't for children only; it gots a big potential of education and entertainment all mixed together.
It's not boring, or childish only because it's main story is Football. NO.
At first I didn't like soccer, Indeed I hate it. But now... It's totally different, I also like to see real soccer matches and all that. At first I thought of this anime "WTF?" But then... I gave it a chance and I'm so lucky I did.
And I'm surprised of myself that I choosed This anime over One piece or Bleach. Not saying it's better than them, but it's my favorite.
And also another thing: This anime ISN'T anything alike with Captain Tsubasa. I liked that show but I prefer this one because the animation and the story line are more Ficctional and not so real-like, Captain Tsubasa was kinda like more of a 'real' thing.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
