Kuronuma Sawako is nicknamed Sadako due to her resemblance to the girl from the Japanese horror movies "The Ring". Shunned by her classmates, her life starts to change as she befriends Shลta Kazehaya, a very popular boy in her class.
Kuronuma Sawakoโs one wish in life is to make friends. Thatโs a difficult proposition when everyone who meets her cowers in terror. She admires her classmate, Kazehaya-kun, a popular, easygoing and 100% refreshing guy who is nice with everyone, even with her. |

This is a Shojo anime (Google it if you don't know)and is aimed towards that target audience. I was hesitant to watch Kimi ni Todoke mainly because I am a ehrm... a man, and a man who enjoys his shonen animes at that. Im not going to tell what possessed me to start watching this series but I am going to say that whatever it was, I am THANKFUL that I did. This anime can be described in two words -- adorable and likeable. The main characters specially Sawako is extremely adorable, the story is well, likeable. The story is well paced in my opinion (contrary to everyone that says it drags) and I believe the pacing is one of the reasons that you can relate to the characters because they gave a lot of time for character development. One of the must see series whether you are into shojo anime or not. Im definitely watching season 2.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
