Since Slam Dunk, basketball animes like Basquash! and Buzzer Beater have been disappointing. Slam Dunk had set such a high standard, the rest were all nothing in comparison. However, something like this comes out, where we hear the slide of the shoe on the gym's floor again, where we feel the fingers of the player touch the ball, where the screen shakes as a dunk is performed, and where the players just take you by surprise ... not to mention the sweat droplets that fly into the sky and you're like, "Oh so pretty ... " and then realize ... it's sweat. This really deserves to be the successor of Slam Dunk. Like it's predecessor I really do think it will impress, I haven't watched a basket ball anime that gave me goosebumps since Sakuragi Hanamichi's dunk or Hisashi Mitsui's three pointer. And what's more, they actually have decent able-bodied basketball players, not some flimsy overly thin and small high-schoolers like seems to be the fashion when drawing high-schoolers nowadays. We actually see some muscle and good heights. If not gigantic like SlamDunk, good enough or even getting there. This is definitely worth it.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
