For decades, the Galactic Empire has been locked in an interstellar war with the Free Planets Alliance, a conflict that involves thousands of spaceships and millions of soldiers on both sides. Two new commanders enter the conflict with great hopes: Imperial Admiral Reinhard von Lohengramm and the FPA's Yang Wen-Li. While the animation is a little old school, everything else is excellent. The story line is captivating, the action scenes are intense and entertaining, and the dialogue is prodigious. Despite the age of this anime, it is my favorite of all time and will always be, until further notice.

P.S.-- If you drop this anime because you can't stand the aged animation, I'm sorry that you could not experience one of the best anime of all time.
