U.C. 0083 - Three years after the end of the catastrophic One Year War, peace on Earth and the colonies is shattered by the presence of the Delaz Fleet, a rogue Zeon military group loyal to the ideals of the late dictator Gihren Zabi. Delaz Fleet's ace pilot Anavel Gato, once hailed as "The Nightmare of Solomon", infiltrates the Federation's Torrington base in Australia and steals the nuclear-armed Gundam GP02A "Physalis" prototype. Rookie pilot Kou Uraki - with the aid of Anaheim Electronics engineer Nina Purpleton and the crew of the carrier Albion - pilots the Gundam GP01 "Zephyranthes" prototype in an attempt to recover the stolen Gundam unit and prevent another war from breaking out. |

I have seen every gundam series ever made and I have to say this is my favorite. Not to badmouth the other ones but I got sick to death of watching 12 year olds pilot mobile suits better than the veteran mobile suit pilots, like seed, seed destiny, zz, gundam x, just to name a few. This is also one I think they did an excellent job with the english voice acting. Despite being a short series it is right to the point and actually has a lot going on and does not have to rely on entire episodes dedicated to recapping what has happened so far. Not only that but skill as a pilot plays a large role in how good the pilots are, not just anyone with a gundam is unbeatable except by a newer model gundam. Also the gundams are not ten times more advanced than the normal mobile suits, this makes things a bit more realistic, sure they are significantly better mobile suits but a lot of the other gundam shows make me think "if your country can build a gundam why the hell are all the rest of your pilots piloting zakus?"
