Summary:
Naruto Shippuuden is the continuation of the original animated TV series Naruto.The story revolves around an older and slightly more matured Uzumaki Naruto and his quest to save his friend Uchiha Sasuke from the grips of the snake-like Shinobi, Orochimaru. After 2 and a half years Naruto finally returns to his village of Konoha, and sets about putting his ambitions to work, though it will not be easy, as He has amassed a few (more dangerous) enemies, in the likes of the shinobi organization; Akatsuki.
much like part one it still has excellent characters, character development, story, music, fights, emotions, voice acting, etc. but added to those qualities of part one is the fact that it ties together the story very neatly together to make whatever has happened in naruto and naruto shippuden into one big cohesive story rather than segmented arcs. the animation too seems to have gone through a MASSIVE update (sure you have to expect a couple of so crappily animated episodes in a long running weekly series like this) but you get many episodes that are very beautifully animated SPOILER ALERT take the shikamaru moping episode for example, pure excellence!

all in all this is a fantastic second half to the series that only improves upon its predecessor and ties everything together neatly.
PS. you absolutely CANNOT just jump straight into shippuden without knowing at least the major plot points of naruto. in fact i would suggest you finish all of the first anime before you start watching this to understand everything properly and events to have a more significant impact on you.
