Naruto Shippuuden is the continuation of the original animated TV series Naruto.The story revolves around an older and slightly more matured Uzumaki Naruto and his quest to save his friend Uchiha Sasuke from the grips of the snake-like Shinobi, Orochimaru. After 2 and a half years Naruto finally returns to his village of Konoha, and sets about putting his ambitions to work, though it will not be easy, as He has amassed a few (more dangerous) enemies, in the likes of the shinobi organization; Akatsuki. |

I know that this is mostly just a rant, but how in the world could they do this to us? They replaced Naruto: Shippuuden with some remastered crap from the original series! Sure, they don't want it to be running up to where the manga is, but surely they could have done something like the Amagai Shuusuke arc in Bleach.
Also I've read up on some of the upcoming movies, and they don't really seem to be movies, they seem to be more like what happened with Tenjho Tenge, or even more recently, Air Gear and Black Lagoon. All really good as a continuous release series, but really bad as a set of OVA's.
To make this a true review the animation is great, but if you're a true fan, don't bother watching the next probably twenty or so episodes. They WILL make you weep.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
