Naruto Shippuuden is the continuation of the original animated TV series Naruto.The story revolves around an older and slightly more matured Uzumaki Naruto and his quest to save his friend Uchiha Sasuke from the grips of the snake-like Shinobi, Orochimaru. After 2 and a half years Naruto finally returns to his village of Konoha, and sets about putting his ambitions to work, though it will not be easy, as He has amassed a few (more dangerous) enemies, in the likes of the shinobi organization; Akatsuki. |

The main reason i picked up Naruto was because my closest friends were watching it. I do not get that much enjoyment out of watching this series rather than that of, say, Darker Than Black. The animations are poor, ex. the first 30-ish episodes used the same movements in every battle, multiple times in each battle. If you decide to watch Naruto or Shippuuden, id recommend watching it until the end. Many people complain about the filler-episodes also. Some of them are fine, but most are annoying and not worth the time. The story isnt all that bad, but it could use some major improvement. In all, naruto is the anime version of the twilight series. You have team Naruto and Team Sasuke, and you will always hear a lot of arguments between the too. Plus, every -want-to-be animefan will fangirl about this series, just like Twilight.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
