| Summary: |
At a top music academy in Japan, Shinichi Chiaki's arrogance is matched only by his top-notch piano playing. But when Chiaki and the teacher get into a fight, he's demoted to the reject class. Chiaki is left to pursue his dream of being a conductor while surrounded by a bunch of loser musicians and one annoying girl, Noda, who has proclaimed herself Chiaki's girlfriend. It doesn't help that Noda, who insists on being called Nodame, lives right next door to him. |

I love this anime so. so. so much.
Its a brilliant mix of drama, comedy and romance.
The romance is there, but not so overbearing that it sways the plot line.
The animation isnt fabulous, but its soft and not too gaudy.
Not only does this anime have great characters and a very interesting plot, it is also a learning experince- you learn so much about classical music.
Truly such an experience- im so glad i had the pleasure to watch it.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
