Evergreen

One Piece is my favorite anime and - for me - one of kind :) Basically there are many storylines running on the background of a changing world. Every story - or adventure, if you want - has its theme - f. e. nacism, prison break, secret cops (ála James Bond), a ghost story, a prehistorical story and so on :) It is unbeliaveble that one person - Monkey D. Luffy - goes through so many things, but if you don't mind it, you can enjoy it :)
Another interesting part of this show is the environment. Some people say it is in middleage, some that it is in the future... well, it's just different mechanics from what we experience ourselves :) If you want to call someone, can take a snail instead of standard telephone, and if you want to take train to a different city, why not ride across the sea? Some moments are really breath-taking, like rose-coloured snow on an island with eternal winter, or island floating in the sky...
Well, the first couple of episodes don't offer these things, but if you are tired from miracles, which appear in the form of light and insane power-up (ok, namely Digimon) and if you have lots of time... One Piece is waiting.
