I'm sick of bleach's 200+ episodes of shitty fillers, and I'm sick of Naruto's awesome fighting scenes not being backed up with interesting storyline, Naruto annoys with a character's past by showing it to you again and again. The first episode I watched of ONE PIECE made me go like, WTF!!!!!! I was wondering how a show like this could be so popular, but because someone close to me asked me to download it for them, I kept on watching this series. It grew a bit interesting when buggy came about, and I fell in love with it after Nami's past was revealed. Some people say that the characters are immature and childish, but One Piece really has some of the most well made characters in terms of their personality. It might take the first 100 episodes for you to start liking it, but the series will really grow on you one you start watching it past ep.40. The author had thought the characters out from the start and implemented them beautifully into the series, with every character making entrance at the correct time. You feel like crying with the characters because what they cry over really makes sense emotionally, no anime has ever made me feel so emotionally attached to any character. The storyline is interesting as well. It might not be action packed like Naruto and Bleach but the storyline part more than makes up for that, the story is implemented in such a manner that you actually feel what the character is fighting for. If you like the anime or not is for you to decide... but for me, this show is epic.
