Haruhi Fujioka, a normal high school student, receives a scholarship to attend Ouran Academy, a school for the rich and privileged, only to discover that at Ouran, virtually anything is allowed. Haruhi accidentally stumbles upon the Host Club, a club made up of six beautiful young men with nothing better to do than to entertain their female classmates, who, likewise, have nothing else to occupy their time. Due to a series of unforeseen events, Haruhi is forced to join the Host Club in order to repay a debt. This outrageously hilarious series follows the stories of these hansom and whimsical young men as they try to help and entertain their fellow students, and the story of Haruhi, who is desperate to graduate from high school as normally as possible while dealing with the antics of her eccentric new group of rich friends. |

This anime is super funny and totally kawaii in that hilarious sense. It'll win you over by the end of the first episode! I kept hearing about how good it was, so I checked it out. It WAS pretty good! A little above your normal "great anime!", Ouran Koukou/High School Host Club is seriously a delightful anime full of things that will make you laugh until your stomach hurted.
The artwork is not the best/prettiest out there, but it is unique, and at certain points, it's only that style that can really pull it off and make you laugh so hard!!! (Especially some certain faces...) The music is really upbeat and cheerful, and the happy happy stories will make your day! The anime goes on those "each episode a mini story of its own" style, but at the end, successfully draws the series to a heart-warming closing. So go watch and enjoy!!!

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
