Summary: The series, which is also called Hekiyō Gakuen Seito-kaigi Jiroku (The Records of the Hekiyō Academy Student Council’s Activities), revolves around a private high school whose student council is chosen entirely by popularity vote. Because of this, Ken Sugisaki is the only male representative, in the otherwise all bishōjo student council, that may enter the “sacred sanctuary” of the council’s meeting room. At the behest of Council President Kurimu Sakurano (pictured at right), Sugisaki records the minutes of the council meetings, which devolve into daily conversations about the students’ lives and interests.

Facinatingly deep but random on the surface

This anime is a oddball. It fits no real catagory other than being a comedy slice of life.

As far as the story goes. I wont ruin anything but it has a sharp and deep undertone that goes beneath the general randomness that caracterizes the majority of the show. However one would think that a deep plot behind a random comedy would make the story disjointed.. -that is not the case here. The story is brilliant and while its still random in some parts the comedy is pretty funny.

The dialogue is nice and wonderful. It may not win any awards but I find every sentence every fraze has the right enfisase to bring out every dialogue piece brilliantly. Its well done.

The animation is pretty good. I find it just a tad to mmm glossed I guess is the word. ON close ups and far away shots is wonderful.. but it feels as if everyone is pristeen and beautiful more than normal. However unrealistic it makes it fresh and enderes it to the heart.

The Entertainment is tricky... at first it may seem a waste of time.. but to anyone who loves comedy its pretty good. Its overal story however comes into play several times and makes a fantastic and nice short story. The only real problem I seem to have is one I only have with every series I like... why isnt there another season?

I dont read Manga so I dont know If another one could be in the works... but its still a facinating... abet short watch anime.. that delivers a short treat like formula.

Recomended for comedy and slice of life.
