Summary:
Shana and Alastor, Lord of the Crimson Realm continue to do battle with the Denizens, who are trying to steal the Power of Existence from mortals. In the last battle, Yuji is revealed to be a mystes, a "torch" of nearly unlimited Power of Existince. Since the Denizens want to capture Yuji and use him to upset the balance of the Realm, Shana resolves to protect Yuji. Yuji then vows to join Shana in her fight.
After recently watching shakugan no Shana at an insane pace I found myself wondering if this was just a fluke.... and again I was presently suprized. This show is awesome. Not in the standard way but a deep while fun way.
the Story revolves [as I stated in my review of the first season] around a warrioress which isnt totally new but is interesting to see delivered wonderfuly. Again it feels synomimus with soul eater- though is completly differnt. The Plot is continually built on {need to watch the first season to get anything obviously] and developes more and more into an awesome story while still keeping that day to day life the first season had. Its actually very gripping in its emotions. With both characters so young in appearance it boggles the mind how its done so well.. but they apear desperate and calculated in combat. Hilarious in comedy and sad during the tragic parts. Fantastically well done.
Dialogue. This show continues the 1-strain theme of keeping every character matched up to their perfect voice.. In other words not only does the chacter intrege you but just from the voice you know alot about them and their modivations. Simply specatuclar.. On par with the best of all time, while adding a life of its on.
Perhapes Im too much of a realist.. though this animation is both solid and wonderful. The distance shots are detailed and again nothing feels lazy or unfinish. comedy is still funny while not having the action disrupted by unreal coloring. They of course do a little textile during some of the "fuzetzu" scenes but their is a reason for that. Up close the people are wonderfuly drawn and very detailed in some ways. Once again I feel a little too glossy but it only adds to the charm.
The entertainment value is high. Although the season ends after a big battle it finishes through the credits in a way that excites and also bases you in reality. I found it much like code Geass... - not as epic but certainly a satisfing Ending. - [due note its not the end but I feel for a seaon end it was perfect]. I forsee I will watch this show again. Its action is original and its terms are entertaining. Its comedy is everpresent but doesnt disturb the flow. The romance between the two main characters is charming abeit slow- its also fairly realistic. And I just feel that is completed the general Plot requirements that all great shows have in common. Though this one will almost - at least in my book -stand out as an original masterpiece.
It may not always have the flash and dash but it has heartwarming with action which is tricky to master together..
recomended for anyone who loves action, comedy, and drama/slice of life.
