My friends had been bugging me to watch this anime for ages apparently it was the most popular anime among the girls in Japan. It wasn't too bad probably for a younger audience but I was vaguely reminded of Cardcaptor Sakura while watching it.
The story is structured well for a children's anime no major dark plot twists, coarse language was at a minimum and the animation itself was brightly coloured. Also the age of the characters helped to relate to make it easier to relate to its younger targeted audience.
It gets a bit repetitive in terms of episode structures. Similar to Cardcaptor Sakura it has a mysterious bad guy out to obtain a powerful item that the good guys are naturally after as well. A problem occurs that brings out a certain "monster" (In this anime that's the X eggs) that the main character must defeat. Guess you could say after 51 episodes of the same thing it does get a bit boring watching the whole season in one go not to mention that more transformation scenes take forever and the finishing move used in every episode was a bit irritating.

Its a great anime to watch over a long period of time not something I'd suggest you to watch in one whole session. It is more designed for the younger female audience so guys may not like it (some might like it). For those into the romance, school life or magic genre you may also be interested in it. If you enjoyed this anime there is also the manga and second season as well.
Other works done by Peach-Pit are Rozen Maiden, Zombie-Loan and DearS.
