Summary:
Ten year old Chihiro and her parents are moving to a new town and on a car ride they stop at a mysterious forest tunnel. Passing through it they come upon what looks like an abandoned theme park. Wandering off while her parents eat from food they find at a stall, Chihiro meets a called Haku, who warns her to leave. On returning she finds that her parents have turned into pigs and that the park and surroundings are filled with spirits. Aided by Haku, who seems to be 'good' but is a malevolent witch's henchman, the maid Rin, and the boilerman Kamiji, Chihiro finds her in a struggle to survive, save her parents, and return to the human world. This is a movie filled with romance, drama, magic, and at times, horror.

This has got to be my all-time favorite animated movie. The creativity and beauty of the animation stays with you for a long time. I've never seen anything like it. So touching and so charming, there are some truly awe-inspiring moments. It's really quite an experience. I myself was spirited away. Pure and unsurpassed genius. All hail Miyazaki-sama!
