The ten thousand who have logged onto the as of yet mysterious game 'Sword Art Online' using their Nerve Gear have been forced into this perilous death game and are trapped inside.
Protagonist Kirito, one of the many gamers, has greeted this 'truth'.
He plays as a solo player in the giant castle that is the stage for this game ---- 'Aincrad'.
To meet the conditions of clearing the game and leaving this twisted virtual world, he must get through all 100 floors. Will Kirito have what it takes to clear the game, or will he die trying? |

Nope, it's out of air for the time being. There's the manga @ http://manga-access.com, the light novel @ baka-tsuki.org, but the anime stopped for the time being. might take up again someday if the hype continues, but for now, they just haven't fixed the status.
for the anime, I'm not sure what to make of it. Full of suspense, yet kinda known in its concept, and it left brutal plot holes. Character interaction and animation are nice, but the story just jumps around too much without any closure nor the depth it promises at first. comparably entertaining for that fact, lots of suspense, fast action, etc., but if you expect a great story, just don't watch.
Also, if you ask me, the first arc was wayyyy better in its setup than the second. just my opinion.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
