Ken Kaneki is a bookworm college student who meets a girl names Rize at a cafe he frequents. They're the same age and have the same interests, so they quickly become close. Little does Kaneki know that Rize is a ghoul - a kind of monster that lives by hunting and devouring human flesh. When part of her special organ - "the red child" - is transplanted into Kaneki, he becomes a ghoul himself, trapped in a warped world where humans are not the top of the food chain. |

Alright, so this years Spring anime list was a bust. The only good anime that was released was Knights of Sidonia.
Soul Eater NOT!, Mahouka Koukou no Rettousei wasn't made out as it was supposed to be, all in all they were crap. bringing me to say, This season was the most boring in 3 years for me. i could not bring myself to watch anything beside Knights of Sidonia. Then Summer came and Tokyo Ghoul was released... This has been one of the most entertaining Anime for me since Kill la Kill & Attack on Titan. and there is just one episode so far. right down to business from the start, from a sweet bloody start to a cool bloody end, Entertainment is high. (always a good sign) For the rating on this. i will wait until the series is ended to rate it. so far it's a 5 in all, but you never know what will happen. But i recommend you watch it.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
