| Summary: |
Yugi Mutou is a young boy who solves the Millennium Puzzle, wishing for true friends. While he managed to get some friends—Katsuya Jonouchi, Hiroto Honda and Anzu Mazaki—he also gains a mysterious host. Whenever someone hurts or threatens one of Yugi's friends, Dark Yugi takes over Yugi's body and challenges them to a game of duel monsters(But sometimes other games as well).
Seto Kaiba, world champion of the Duel Monsters trading card game, attempts to steal a rare card that Yugi's grandfather possesses. After obtaining it through dirty means, Dark Yugi challenges him to a Shadow Game, Yugi beats Kaiba by using Exodia The Forbidden one, given to him by his grandfather. Obsessed with defeating Yugi to determine who is stronger, Kaiba recruits four gaming experts, the "Game Masters," throughout the series to try and defeat Yugi and test the limits of his strength. |

Ok,first to say,this anime is quite unique.Why? Because of it's main thing that keeps up the story. The card games! These card games became so popular that they started selling them over the world.And I mean world.
You can find them anywhere.What does that say? It says that this anime is so popular that mercendaice of it is huge! About the anime,it is very addicting,especially if you are younger,but actually that dosen't mean anything because this anime is for all ages.You will enjoy watching this anime very soona s you start it.The card games can be predictible after you watched some episodes.The animations are solid,nothing special,but I didn't wanted to ruin the final mark,because this anime overall is very entertaining and special in some way!
Go and watch,you won't regret it!

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
