| Summary: |
Duelist Kingdom is the first arc in the Duel Monsters anime. Maximillion Pegasus (Pegasus J. Crawford in the Japanese version), using the power of the Millennium Eye, manages to seal away the soul of Yugi's grandfather Solomon Muto (Sugoroku Mutou in the Japanese version), and Yugi must save him by entering a children's card game tournament on Pegasus' private island. Meanwhile, Joey Wheeler (Katsuya Jonouchi) enters the tournament in order to pay for his sister's eye surgery, and Pegasus and several top executives at KaibaCorp plot to remove Seto Kaiba from the head of his company. |

I'm a girl, but Yu gi oh is my fandom nubmer one [after Vocaloids]. I love the characters of this serie and even if I don't like those cardgames at all, I have watched all the episodes.
If you like dueling, games, ancient Egypt and more friendship than love, you should watch this. And as a girl you should watch this for hot anime guys and ship them together! [just kidding :) ]
I like the style of this serie, because it's personal.
The english dubbed episodes are more worser than the original japanese, because the dialogue doesn't go the same.
If you love comedy/parody you should watch Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged series [a.ka YGOTAS]. That serie made me watch this original serie again :)

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
