A very interesting twist

Angel Beats is a rather interesting Anime, since it manages to be at the same time very funny and maybe even goofy, while also touching interesting philosophical questions... and in such a subtle way that you don't realize it until you're deep into the intrigue. The story was masterfully created, and will keep you trying to guess at what's going to happen next. Dialogues can sometimes be a little repetitive, over-using some jokes or situations, but it works well at the end. Animation is extremely good, interesting use of colors and digital techniques, creating some rather beautiful effects. It's got the funnies, and it has the drama, so you will probably enjoy it. It takes a couple of episodes for the story to become clear, so give it at least to episode 3 before deciding if you like or not. And if you're the crying type, have the hankie at the ready, you will need it.
