| Summary: |
26 years ago, in a third-year classroom of a middle school, there was a student named Misaki. As an honors student who was also good at sports, the charming girl was popular with her classmates. When she suddenly died, her classmates decided to carry on as if she was still alive until graduation. Then, in the spring of 1998, a boy named Sakakibara Kouichi transfers to that classroom, and he grows suspicious of the fearful atmosphere in that classroom. In particular, there is a beautiful, aloof girl named Misaki Mei who wears an eyepatch and is always alone drawing pictures.Drawn to her mysterious aura, Kouichi tries to touch her, only to discover that the mystery goes deeper than he ever thought. |

pros
+ decent story with horror, mystery, suspense and some twists to it
+ dark with a certain "final destination" feel to it
+ good animation
cons
- little draggy/over-hyped in some episodes
- plot holes
- somewhat gruesome so nothing for kids >.<
conclusion: if you like horror, borderline-gore, some suspense and a dark "final destination" feel, go for this. it's not the best in terms of plot (see last episode), and it certainly isn't for kids (btw: what's with the childish trolling? o.o) but it's certainly able to entertain you well. some mystery, some suspense, decent animation and music, good dialogue (though there seems to be a lot of it), plays alot on the topic of death. to me, usually being attracted by comedy and a decent storyline, this isn't the best in the world by far, but it's good in its own way.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
