After watching the first ten episodes I can happily say that this anime has kept me entertained for several days. I see a lot of potential for this story and as a writer I am left feeling very sad that the series was not longer to properly flesh out many aspects such as the characters and relationships. However I still have the last two episodes to watch, but even then that's too little time to properly fit in what I feel they missed.

If it was up to me I would have had this series run for around 25 to 30 episodes, as I feel that would have allowed for much greater character development. (show less)

Asu no Yoichi is easily a likeable anime as the story is not exactly cliche but not entirely new as well. Funny and Echi, it doesn't seemed to ever give up on keeping your attention.

However, It was a little disappointing towards the end as it strayed away from the manga original storyline and I believe it could have ended better but that's what happens when you cut the storyline short.

So for all those anime lovers out there looking for a change in pace from suspense and thriller, or is just simply looking for something to laugh at (or maybe get aroused) then Asu no Yoichi is the one for you. (show less)

The reason I really liked this anime was for the great moral aspects it puts forth. I actually started the series by reading the manga and I must confess that at first a big reason was the "fan service" it included (I apoligize). However, after reading/watching it for awhile I came to absolutely love it! If an anime has fighting and a good story then thats great, but I firmly believe that the most important part of a story of any kind is the values contained within. The characters are all very kind with a great sense of responsibility and spirit. However, the biggest reason I watch/read this series is because of the main character: Kurasama Yoichi. No matter what he is diong, whether fighting, studying, or just talking to his friends, he is always amazingly kind and puts the needs and wants of others first before his own. I believe that this servant-like attitude is what's really important in a story and in life itself. His pure character is enough of a reason for me to continue reading and watching the series.
