Honestly when starting this anime, i didn't expect much, because i had watched Durarara before.
But now i can say- i Love this anime!!
At first all the characters in the opening is a bit overwelming and you think, how are they going to make a story with all these characters in such a short amount of episodes- but each individual all have such different personalities and characters that its easy to differentiate them aapart and see their character grow. The story isn't just one story- a bit like durarara (sorry for comparing) the story is made up of perspectives and different time periods, like all eventually correlate at the end, making perfect sense.
The animation is crisp and clean.
And the dialogue was pure brilliant- matching with the 1930 american mafia times.
And let me say, my favourite aspect of the anime, was the score- err music. The opening was jazzy and upbeat, complete fitting for the anime. The overall smooth jazz musics creates the atimosphere. It entertains, and i warn you of the blood :P Yes, lots of blood, and maniacal murders- don't try this at home children stunts are also plenitful. ITs a mix between reality and the supernatural and the impossible- but i assure you, this anime will blow you away. *ends rant*
