Summary:
Okajima Rokuro - now known almost exclusively as 'Rock' - was once a typical, put-upon Japanese businessman. Then, on a routine business trip, he was kidnapped and ransomed by the Lagoon Company: a band of mercenary pirates operating out of the crime-riddled city of Roanapur. Abandoned by his bosses, he joined the Lagoon Company. Now he must try and stay afloat amongst the ever-shifting politics of the criminal underworld, while simultaneously avoiding death at the hands of his quick-tempered, gun-toting co-worker, 'Two Hand' Revy.
the first 12 episodes of this are in fact the first season. they are 2 12 episode seasons. the numbers just dont start over like some animes.
its a great anime, but some of the action scenes were just so over the top I started to just lose interest.

it has it all, bloody violence, generous (and i use that term as an understatement) amounts of action, humor, hot women, and overall amazing story and characters. what's even better is that people have said that it seems to end in this season, but there are so many story arcs created in second barrage that open up this anime to go on for another season or two, the cool part is that as much as i personally hate animes that drag on and on with no apparent sign of ending i don't want this one to end, i have watched every BL episode at least 3 times (read more)

black lagoon the second barrage is actually the second season of this annime soo your not missing the first season or best said episodes 1 too 12 lol hahahahah but overall this anime is awsome and a must see

Okey, we seen black lagoon, we've seen the kick ass action, we've seen Revy wasting asses from the Atlantic to the Pacific ocean and cause a riot deep wthin"PIRATE VILLE ISLAND!" of Roanapur , bursting her cutlass, Two Hands takes down big bad asses and scares the hell outta little children, with a simple expression as she says We're Already DEAD!, and off coarse Rock's gonna nod cause he'd freakn go to hell if its wif Revy, n shed do the same, I SAY, I SAY!!!
