Okajima Rokuro is a Japanese businessman…in a town full of Japanese businessmen. His normal day consists of social drinking with clients and being kicked around by his bosses. He finally gets a break though, as he’s sent by his company to the tropical seas of Eastern China to deliver a disc…only his boat gets hijacked by a band of mercenaries that were hired to steal it. “Rock” (as he is newly dubbed by his captors) catches the interest of the only female merc “Revy” as she thinks he’s worth a ransom, taking him hostage. However, the disc turns out to be more trouble than its worth, and complicates things both for Rock, and the mercenaries known as Black Lagoon. |

this anime is one that if you don't pay attention to what's going on you'll be so confused and lost you'll want to give up but don't. this anime is amazing and definatly worth the watch. i'm a fan of animes that have, action, adventure and fantastic outerworldy story and outerworldly characters like this one. (like good vs evil and amazing powers and abilities blood and violence) this story doesn't really have characters like allen walker who are born amazing and heroic meant to save the world but the characters aren't normal either. this anime is full of easy to love characters and amazing story telling. the animation is fantasic and it'll keep you on the edge of your seat. it has action, adventure, and outerworldly events and characters. it has a dark feeling to it hense the name. definatly a must see for any anime lover i mean come on, it has a talking cat.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
