I'm guessing you didn't read the manga. This isn't a real anime per say as it's just shorts made to compliment the manga through the eyes of a security camera system recovered on disc. This isn't a retelling of the anime whatsoever. If you didn't read it, it's going to be extremely boring and probably really confusing, but if you did read it, then it's incredibly inventive and honestly I couldn't name anything else that's done something like this.
If I was wrong and you did read the manga, then you're crazy.

OMG!!! I can't belive no one has review this epic anime. Blame is the best sci-fi manga i've ever read, it truly stands in the leage along with "Ghost in the Shell".
I watched the ONA first to see what was "Blame!" but i didn't understand anything that was happening, was totally confussed. So I read the manga and then finished the animation, and guess what... BLAME! IS EPIC. I can't believe the kind of scenarios Tsutomu Nihei can imagine, the character design OMG, this guy is insane (of course, he also was a designer in "Ghost in the Shell", ( read more)

The insane story of this earth made to shit by AI robots, this only one hope of human survival before extinsion, THIS FULL LOAD OF SHIT BAD ASS ROBOTS!
This ONA isn't great at all, but to those who likes to read manga, watch brains, heads, legs, arms falling off, and like cyberpunk design THIS IS FOR YOU. You won't regret it, believe me.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
